I saw this recipe and it reminded me of a dish my mother remembered having as a child on wintry Saturdays.
I was intrigued enough to try this recipe and what a surprise.
This dish is beyond delicious, alone or served with other foods. I have used it as a basis for soups and as a gravy on meat or potatoes.
How easy to make something so good, crying over the onions wasn’t even that bad a memory once this was done and eaten.
