*I used yogurt made from goat's milk. Can substitute with any plain yogurt

Cake
In large mixing bowl, cream butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs one at a time, add vanilla. Sift together flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cocoa. Add to creamed mixture alternately with water, beating after each addition. Stir in sauerkraut. Pour into greased and floured 9" x 13" baking pan. Bake at 350 F for 35-40 minutes. Cool in pan.
Frosting
Melt chocolate and butter. Blend in yogurt, vanilla and salt. Gradually add confectioners' sugar until frosting is of spreading consistency.
Beat well.
