Cream Soup Gluten Free Dairy Free

Ingredients
  • 2 Tablespoons butter (use vegan butter to make dairy free)
  • 2 Tablespoons gluten free flour
  • 1 cup of liquid
  • salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
  1. Melt butter in pan
  2. Add the flour
  3. Whisk it in and heat until smooth
  4. Add liquid a little at a time to prevent lumps
  5. Cook and stir about 3 minutes until smooth and heated through.
  6. The longer it cooks the thicker it becomes.
Notes
Cream of Chicken-add half milk or water and half chicken broth. You can add chicken bits if you like.
Cream of Mushroom-cook up some chopped mushrooms in butter, then sprinkle with flour and proceed. I use water for my liquid.
Cream of Celery-soften finely chopped celery in butter, then proceed. I use water for my liquid.
